MANILA, Philippines—Kris Aquino, Manny Pacquiao onboard the Metro Rail Transit? Oh c’mon!

But the unusually heavy traffic due to flooded streets Tuesday evening compelled the two celebrities to get off their luxury cars and take the country’s crowded train.

Kris was supposed to host a sponsored event at Shangri-La, a mall along the MRT’s route on Edsa, the ABS-CBN corporate communication office told the Philippine Daily Inquirer Wednesday.

The youngest sister of President Benigno Aquino III had bodyguards with her during the short trip.

Meanwhile, Pacquiao took the MRT too on Tuesday evening, ABS-CBN said.

He boarded the train at the Ayala Station and alighted at GMA Kamuning.

The Filipino boxing hero, who was on his way to a Christian fellowship, took a walk from the MRT station to the venue of the religious event inside the ABS-CBN compound as Quezon Avenue was submerged in floodwaters, said ABS-CBN.

Enchong Dee

 

 

Enchong Dee was born in Naga City, Camarines Sur. He has two brothers, Angel James Dee, who is also an actor, while his younger brother, Isiah Dee, is a student in De La Salle University Manila- College of St. Benilde. Enchong also has a younger sister.

 

 

Dee's first TV appearance in television came in 2006 when he appeared in a Philippine talk show Home Boy as one of the guests. He caught the eye of a modeling agency and advertisers and soon appeared in several advertising campaigns including Close Up, Bench, KFC and Timex. Dee landed several acting roles beginning in 2007 which have included Abt Ur Luv,Sineserye, Komiks, Your Song and My Girl.

 

In 2010, he then reunited with some of his co-stars, Erich Gonzales and Ejay Falcon, in Tanging Yaman. He then became part of Magkaribal. He starred in the film, Sa 'yo Lamang where he gained award nominations and won the Gawad PASADO for

Best Supporting Actor. Enchong gained his first movie lead role, alongside his premiere leading lady, Erich Gonzales, in I Do.

 

He recently appeared in the 2012 film, The Reunion, with Enrique Gil, Xian Lim and Kean Cipriano

Ernest Lorenzo Velasquez Dee, known as Enchong Dee (born November 5, 1988) is a Filipino actor, model, and swimmer. Dee is currently part of ABS-CBN's Star Magic group of contract artists. He played John Joseph "Jojo" Wenceslao in the 2009 TV series Katorse. He also plays the role of "Luis" in Maria Del Barrio. He's currently appearing on Muling Buksan ang Puso as "Leonel Beltran".

He is the younger brother of actor and model, AJ Dee.

Biography

Graduated from Naga Hope Christian School. He further pursued his swimming career at De La Salle University in Manila. Dee was part of the Philippine national swimming team and has participated in the SEA Games and 2006 Asian Games

Career

In 2009, he was added to the main cast of Katorse, an adaptation of the 1968 film (that was also remade in 1981).

In 2011, he starred in the Philippines' remake of Maria La Del Barrio as Luis de la Vega.

Enchong won the one-million pesos briefcase in the August 18, 2012 episode of "Kapamilya Deal Or No Deal" together with his "The Reunion" co-star Kean Cipriano.

Julia Montes

Mara Hautea Schnittka, better known by her stage name Julia Montes (born March 19, 1995 in Quezon City, Philippines), is a Filipinaactress and commercial model of German-Filipino descent. She was a cast member of Goin' Bulilit before appearing as Clara in Mara Clara. She was popularly known as Katerina in Walang Hanggan, which catapulted her into fame. She also played the main protagonist Sarah in the primetime series Muling Buksan Ang Puso

Personal life

Julia Montes was born in Pandacan, Manila to Gemma Hautea and Martin Schnittka, a German. Her father left her since she was a baby and only her deaf mother raised her, with the help of her grandmother, Flory Hautea.

Showbiz career

She began her showbiz career under her birth name, Mara Schnittka. She was discovered after appearing in TV commercials, which landed her spots in a number of GMA-7 shows such as Sana Ikaw Na Nga as the daughter of actors Robin da Rosa and Angelu de Leon and in a number episodes of the now defunct drama anthology Magpakailanman. Having no exclusivity in her contract with the Kapuso Network, she auditioned for ABS-CBN's Hiram and was accepted. Then she tried out for the children show Goin' Bulilit, got in, and soon made a name for herself on the said show.

Also in 2008, she starred in the Maalaala Mo Kaya episode (titled Card) as Abby, a girl who is longing for the love of her parents while under the care of her own yaya. She also appeared in I Love Betty La Fea, Ligaw na Bulaklak, and a few other MMK episodes.

In 2010, she started going by Mara Montes and made guest appearances in shows such as Gimik 2010 and Katorse. That same year, her biggest break-out role came when she starred as Clara Del Valle/David in the remake of one of the famous Philippine telenovela, Mara Clara. The title roles were previously portrayed by Judy Ann Santos and Gladys Reyes. During the show's production, she changed her name from Mara Montes to Julia Montes as not to confuse the audience during promotion. Julia was cast in Gladys' past role as Clara, an overindulged rich but cruel and inflexible girl who is switched with a down-to-earth poor girl (Mara) in the hospital at birth. Playing opposite her as Mara was her Goin' Bulilit co-star and friend, Kathryn Bernardo.

In 2011, she starred in Growing Up as Tammy, reuniting her with her Mara Clara co-star, Kathryn Bernardo. EJ Jallorina, Kiray Celis, Diego Loyzaga, and Daniel Padilla also starred.Growing Up ended in February 2012.

Her first major movie role came in 2011 as she starred alongside Kathryn, Enrique Gil, Sam Concepcion, and Agot Isidro in Way Back Home.

In 2012, Montes starred in the teleserye Walang Hanggan as Katerina, marking her first team-up with Coco Martin. The teleserye became one of the most viewed teleseryes of all time and skyrocketed her already successful career, giving her the opportunity to star in more projects. This teleserye ended on October 26, 2012. That same year, she was cast in the teenromantic comedy film, The Reunion as Ligaya, with an ensemble cast composed of Enchong Dee, Enrique Gil, Xian Lim, Kean Cipriano, Jessy Mendiola, Megan Young, and Bangs Garcia. She was also a part of the horror film, The Strangers with Enrique Gil, JM de Guzman, Enchong Dee, Cherry Pie Picache, and Janice de Belen.

As a follow-up project after the success of their team-up in Walang Hanggan, she and Coco Martin starred in the 2013 Star Cinema film, A Moment In Time.

She will top-bill 2013's newest teleserye titled Muling Buksan Ang Puso starting July 8, 2013 on Primetime Bida. She will portray Sarah, a role Montes has stated was "tailor-fit" for her.

Starring with her in the serye is Enrique Gil and Enchong Dee, both of whom she has worked with in the past in various projects. She is also working on a romantic comedy distributed byStar Cinema, once again with Enrique Gil, and actors Martin del Rosario and Pokwang. The film is currently in production and is tentatively titled Call Girl.
